Job Summary:
The Staff Dentist is responsible for providing direct dental care to ODHC patients in a professional and patient-focused manner using established dental protocol, procedures, and techniques. Additionally, he/she provides dental education and works in a team environment in an effective and efficient manner to ensure optimum patient centered care.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide direct dental care to patients using established dental procedures and techniques as outlined by the ADA.
Assess dental condition and needs of patients. Use patient screening procedures to include medical history review, x-rays and dental and perio charting.
Professional and courteously manage patients during dental procedures.
Inform patients of and explain dental procedures being performed.
Conduct dental charting and ensure patient information is entered timely and correctly into the patient’s electronic record in Dentrix.
Develop and implement individualized dental care plans.
Provide dental education to patients in a clear and easily understood manner to ensure patients understand the recommended treatment plan and include the patient in the discussion.
Institute emergency measures for sudden or adverse developments during treatment of patients.
Assist in managing the dental office infection control plan to meet OSHA, CDC, and ADA standards.
Be cooperative, helpful, a positive role model and work within compliance of a collaborative agreement with any Dental Therapist, Dental Hygienist, Dental Assistance and Outreach Staff.
Be cooperative, helpful, and a positive role model with Dental student rotations.
Maintain a level of productivity that ensures achievement of fiscal goals as set by the organization.
Maintain necessary licensure and CPR certification as required by Minnesota state law and ODHC policy.
Develop and maintain relationships with other ODHC staff to ensure efficient daily operations of all departments.
Be knowledgeable of ODHC services to provide integrated care to assist patients/families in accessing needed resources.
Perform other tasks as assigned.

Board certified, MN licensed dentist with current DEA license.

Other Requirements:
As a full-time, exempt employee, work outside of the typical workday will be necessary on occasion to facilitate the organization’s business. Travel is required to meetings, events and to support other clinic locations within the community and across the region. Means of travel and travel expenses will be reimbursed according to ODHC’s travel policy. Physical ability to sit for extended periods of time. Position requires repetitive use of fingers, hands, wrist in job related duties, i.e. tools, computer, etc. Complete range of motion, including fine motor skills and tactile sense of both hands. Able to lift 25 pounds. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:
The Psychiatric NP is responsible for providing comprehensive, professional, culturally, linguistically, and age appropriate care. S/he provides a wide range of mental health services to patients and families in a variety of settings, diagnoses, conduct therapy, and prescribe medication for patients who have psychiatric disorders, medical organic brain disorders or substance abuse problems. He/she must demonstrate the ability to provide culturally appropriate care options and integrates the quality care standards of the industry into their daily practice.
Job Responsibilities
Provide psychiatric services, psychosocial and physical assessment of patients, treatment plans, and mange patient care.
Work as member of the behavioral health team, while also providing medical providers with consults for mental health issues as needed and collaborating with medical providers as needed.
Establish diagnoses, order, and interpret studies, perform, and monitor therapeutic procedures, assess and/or manage follow up care.
Prescribe and regulate medications relative to the patient’s health care needs.
Record and document health appraisal data, in a timely and accurate manner, necessary to maintain and/or coordinate required services.
Communicate findings of mental healthcare assessments, diagnostic tests, etc. to patients, physicians, and other health care providers in a timely manner and/or as determined by clinic policy/procedure.
Develop, provide, and systematically re-evaluate the plan of treatment for patients/patients’ families.
Make appropriate referrals for patients when appropriate services are not within the ODHC Behavioral Health Department scope of practice.
Provide assessment, consultation, and brief intervention for psychological/psychiatric problems and/or disorders.
Maintain documentation of patient encounters via progress notes, assessment/diagnostic information, and treatment planning as outlined in the Behavioral Health Department policy.
Maintain any other documentation required for insurance companies and MNDHS.
Maintain necessary NP registration/licensure and CPR certification as required by Minnesota state law and ODHC policy.
Know, understand, and ensure adherence to the organization’s policy related to the patients’ right for confidential care and HIPAA.
Perform other tasks as assigned.

Working Environment
Work is performed in the clinic setting but may be community based as needed. Involves frequent contact with other people. Interactions with others are frequent and interruptive. Work schedules may be changed to accommodate departmental, and facility needs. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. Work may require sitting or standing for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing 25 pounds or more. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, copier and other such equipment.
