Public Policy
As the primary care safety-net providers, Community Health Centers provide access to comprehensive primary and preventive medical, dental, and behavioral health care services to patients who are medically underserved. Our goal is for all Minnesotans to have access to affordable, high-quality health care, and wellness services.
The Minnesota Association of Community Health Centers supports the state of Minnesota’s Community Health Centers in improving and maintaining services for the health and wellness of Health Center patients and communities.
To achieve this, MNACHC supports legislation that will create financial stability for Health Centers, support health care workers, support policies that will reduce health disparities, and provide additional services to individuals and families who face significant social determinants of health. We support access and coverage of health care services for all Minnesotans, service delivery models that promote and improve health outcomes, and wrap around services that provide economic stability to individuals. We understand that positive outcomes in health care cannot be achieved if a person is facing food shortages, housing instability, or extreme financial hardship.
Health Centers remain committed to working with the State and community partners to improve the health of all Minnesotans.
