We’re currently seeking a Full-time Dental Assistant to support our dental clinic in Cook, MN. This position will work closely with the dental providers to assist in procedures and perform certain oral treatments. Additional responsibilities will include floating between dental providers, sterilization and lab, and backup reception support. The schedule for this position is Monday – Thursday, 8am-5pm; Friday 8am-Noon.
Dental Assistant Responsibilities:
Record patient dental and medical histories as well as treatment information in patient records using the EDR system
Prepare patients and assist dental providers during procedures and dental emergencies
Float between providers as necessary
Perform applications of sealants, fluorides, and other dental agents for the prevention of dental decay
Operate X-ray machines
Pour, trim, and polish study casts
Provide patient education to assist with developing and maintaining good oral hygiene
Sterilize and prepare dental equipment prior to patient appointments
Support an efficient flow of the office by quickly adjusting to appropriate needs throughout the day between chairside assisting, sterilization, or reception.
Perform reception duties including but not limited to: answering phones, scheduling appointments, registering patients, verifying insurance, calling patients to remind of appointments, calling patients on-call list to fill open appointment slots.
Dental Assistant Requirements:

We are seeking a Family Dentist at our locations in Bigfork and Cook to provide quality care in our communities. This Dentist will become part of a general dental practice, providing care in all areas of dentistry for all ages according to their comfort level and expertise. Collaborate with excellent dental specialists in the region for patients who need to be referred for care. Utilize our electronic dental records software that is fully integrated with our electronic medical records, improving patient care and communication between our medical and dental providers. All necessary training in electronic medical records will be personalized to fit individual needs. In modern facilities, you will enjoy a patient focused practice with a collaborative team of Dentists. Clinic schedules and patient appointments are quality focused creating a rewarding practice.
Scenic Rivers Health Services has 4 dental clinics, 7 outpatient medical clinics including Physicians who staff two Critical Access hospitals with ER Coverage; and behavioral health counselling. By offering a diverse set of services we have been able to create financial stability for our organization. Further, we have been able to procure the proper PPE and make the appropriate practice adjustments in our Dental clinics during this challenging Coronavirus environment. We are working to resume elective dental care by mid-June and are currently offering Emergency, followed by Essential dental care.
Schedule:
4.5 day work week (full time); reduced schedule for part time
Approximately 60 Minute Fillings, Extractions, Toothaches, Denture visits and Impressions and Crown Preps
Appointment lengths can be adjusted to provider’s needs and complexity.
Average Volumes are 8-10 patients per day
Requirements:
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree
Current or eligible for MN License, DEA certificate
Current or able to acquire Nitrous Certification
At least one year of experience as a Dentist preferred

We are currently seeking a full-time Clinical Support LPN/MA that will work from our Cook, MN location. This position also supports the Tower, Floodwood, and Eveleth medical clinics as needed. Job duties and requirements are listed below.
Clinical Support LPN / MA Responsibilities:
Update patient chart information such as past and present medical histories, medications, allergies and immunization records prior to appointments
Initiate prescriptions for provider review and refill
Perform Triage for outgoing/incoming calls as appropriate
Complete chart reconciliation for Cook; assist with Tower and Eveleth sites as-needed
Perform Desktop Management
Review and manage patient medical concerns and document information in patient chart for provider review as necessary
Track and monitor medication expiration dates. Order vaccines and medications as appropriate
Regularly attend meetings such as staff and quality improvement meetings to take a proactive role in improving patient care and documentation processes
Strive to reduce medication errors and improve the patient experience
Must work the clinic floor on a bi-weekly basis and as needed, performing the following duties:
Room and prepare patients prior to their medical provider’s visit and/or treatment
Order, monitor and re-stock exam rooms and clinic with appropriate medical supplies prior to patient appointments
Assist medical provider as directed
Administer medications, vaccines, and testing to patients following appropriate procedures
Assist other LPNs daily and as-needed with rooming patients and restocking rooms
Physical presence in the workplace is an essential function of the job
Perform other duties as assigned
