BUILDING THE 2025-2030 Minnesota Cancer Plan

Dear Friends,

In 2015, the MCA released our ten-year plan to reduce the burden of cancer for all Minnesotans. The plan encompassed 19 objectives focusing on prevention, screening, treatment, survivorship, and health equity. Significant progress has been made on many of our objectives through networks that have been created and strategy action grants.

It is time to create the next MCA Cancer Plan 2025- 2030. We need your input.

Please take a few minutes to fill out our survey. Your thoughts about the objectives we should work on are essential to building the next cancer plan—a cancer plan that the community can be enthusiastic about and work on.

The work undertaken from 2025-2030 must reflect the foresight and thinking of a wide variety of passionate people committed to reducing the burden of cancer in our state.

Thank you for your timely attention to helping the MCA build a new cancer plan.

During February and March, the MCA-sponsored CancerPlan2030 leadership team gathers feedback through surveys, focus groups, and interviews. The proposed schedule is to draft objectives from May to July. Once draft objectives and strategies are generated, there will be a second round of information gathering and input. CancerPlan2030 will launch in January of 2025.

For more information or to participate in the process, please contact Heather Kehn, Cancer Plan Chair, or Kris Newcomer, CancerPlan2030 project manager.
