The US House advanced the Lower Costs, More Transparency Act on a 320-71 vote. The bill provides a 10% increase to health center mandatory funding - $400 million each year until December 31, 2025. The legislation does not direct HRSA to spend the increase in any specific way - e.g., new access points, or base adjustments.

The bill also extends the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) through 2025 at $350 million per year and extends the Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education (THCGME) program for FY24 through FY25. The funding for THCGME would begin at $175 million per year and increase to $300 million in FY28, 29, and 30.
