MDH Recognizes Sawtooth Mountain Clinic

The Minnesota Department of Health’s (MDH) Office of Rural and Primary Health Care (ORPHC) announced that Sawtooth Mountain Clinic received the 2024 Minnesota Rural Health Team Award.

The award recognizes SMC’s Oral Health Task Force for its work in providing access to high-quality, patient-centered oral care to all persons throughout the service area of Cook County and the Anishinaabe Nation of the Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa.

The Task Force provides community education on the importance of early preventative care and provides financial assistance through a generous financial assistance package that makes dental care at Grand Marais Family Dentist more affordable and accessible.

CONGRATULATIONS to Kate Surbaugh and the team at Sawtooth Mountain Clinic!
