Preferred Vendor Program

Quick Links:

Our Preferred Vendor Program offers the opportunity to connect with community health center leadership and decision makers throughout the state of Minnesota. MNACHC will work with the Preferred Vendor Program Committee to communicate the value your organization/product presents to our health centers.

For health center members, it provides group purchasing, shared cost savings, and strategic sourcing solutions. The program leverages our community health center network’s combined purchasing power to generate maximum savings for members.

MNACHC welcomes applications from interested vendors to provide services to our members. Vendors who have an interest in joining the Preferred Vendor Program must first complete the online application form and pay a $175 application fee. The online form can be accessed by clicking here.

Preview application questions here.

Vendor applications are reviewed by MNACHC staff and the Preferred Vendor Program Committee. During this vetting process, we will notify you by email if the Committee requests additional information or a demonstration of your product. Once a decision has been made by the Committee, you will be notified by email if the application is approved (pending contract negotiations) or if the application is declined.

MNACHC’s Preferred Vendor Program contracts are reviewed annually for maximum savings and relevance to our members, and each vendor must reapply every three years.

As part of the application, vendors are asked to provide:

  • An overview of your organization
  • Your organization’s full offering of products and services, with key services highlighted
  • Your organization’s current group purchasing contractual relationships
  • References from current clients, including community health centers or similar non-profits
  • Non-refundable $175 application fee (payable online or by check following submission of application)

Upon acceptance to the Preferred Vendor Program, a contract will be negotiated between the Program and vendor organization, outlining details of the vendor benefits and obligations.

The Preferred Vendor Program consolidates the purchasing power of our members and drives customers to vendor organizations. In addition to accessing this customer base, there are two levels of vendor benefits:

Standard: Vendors receive MNACHC member contact information; opportunity to address one relevant roundtable or committee per year; personal introductions by MNACHC to leadership of up to two high-priority health centers.

Premier: Vendors receive MNACHC member contact information; opportunity to address two relevant roundtables or committees per year; logo linked to your website highlighted on MNACHC website; personal introductions by MNACHC to leadership of up to four high-priority health centers.

Discounts: Vendors are expected to offer significant price discounts to MNACHC members.

Customer service: Upon contract signing with the Preferred Vendor Program, contact new members within 7 working days to discuss the vendor’s products and services offered through the Preferred Vendor Program. This may include providing a detailed business analysis examining usage patterns, current pricing, and recommendations for efficiency. Provide excellent customer service to members on an ongoing basis.

Administrative fee: Pay a pre-negotiated administrative fee to the Preferred Vendor Program annually, based on overall purchase and usage volume of Program members. Administrative fees are used to offset program costs and fund MNACHC programs and services that benefit association members. In line with safe harbor provisions, the Preferred Vendor Program reports to members annually the cumulative fees paid per contract to the Program.

Reports: Provide bi-annual sales reports to MNACHC.

Sponsorship: Be a sponsor for at least one MNACHC training or conference per year. Standard-level vendors are expected to sponsor at or above $3,000. Premier-level vendors are expected to sponsor at or above $6,000. Further details on trainings, conferences, and sponsorship opportunities are available from Shelby Maidl (details below).
