The IT Analyst will perform duties necessary to support LSCHC’s local (non-network) information systems including desktop support, hardware support, phone system support, AV, fax and copiers, vendor support, user set up (in tandem with the network provider), software licensing, inventory management, ordering and other duties applicable to the local (non-network) aspects of IT. The Analyst is also a liaison with the Breakwater Network, the Health Care Controlled Network of which LSCHC is a member, and with the Network’s hosted network provider. The IT Analyst may lead and/or participate in team projects and company initiatives including, for example, the set-up of equipment for new sites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform daily Help Desk functions related to the local (non-network) issues.
  • Work in coordination with the Breakwater Network hosted network provider to identify and resolve local issues.
  • Provide technical support for internal clients and staff via phone, email, or live demonstration.
  • Assist the network provider in troubleshooting downtime system issues with business applications.
  • Install, configure, and support wired network routers, wireless network routers, switches, battery backups.
  • Install, configure, and support Windows desktops, laptops and related hardware including but not limited to tablets, scanners, copiers, hot spot devices, and cellular devices.
  • Coordinate phone issues in conjunction with LSCHC’s telephone provider(s).
  • Coordinate connectivity issues in conjunction with LSCHC’s fiber provider(s).
  • Manage data closets, patching facilities, and drops.
  • Provide vendor support and facilitate issue resolution when onsite support is required.
  • Keep an accurate and up to date inventory of IT assets.
  • Work in coordination with the CFO, who oversees the IT budget, to procure new desktops, laptops and peripherals, along with copiers, printers and other data related equipment Assist in developing project plans, goals, and budgets for IT projects.
  • Assist in planning for future IT needs with the CFO and vendors.
  • Recommend, schedule and perform hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations and/or purchases.
  • Physical presence at the workplace(s) is an essential function of the job.
  • In conjunction with the Director of QI, Compliance and Risk, serves as the information security officer for LSCHC and conducts quarterly and annual HIPAA Privacy and Security Risk analysis to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Works with CFO to ensure that IT-related Policies and Procedures are reviewed/updated annually.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
