Danny brings a strong experience in public policy, government relations, public health, and health and human services to his role at the Minnesota Association of Community Health Centers (MNACHC). Prior to joining MNACHC, he represented the policy and legislative goals of the Minnesota Association of Community Mental Health Programs and the Minnesota Health Care Safety Net Coalition (SNC) at the Minnesota State Capital.
Danny has a personal mission to create an environment of health in Minnesota where the healthy option is easily accessible and equitable. Public health is not just Danny’s educational background or his passion, it is the path that he has put his career on with the intent to bring as many people along with him. Danny received his bachelor’s degree from Hope College, in Holland, MI. He moved to the Twin Cities in 2014 to attend the University of Minnesota’s School of Public Health, where he received a Masters in Public Health focused on Public Health Administration and Policy.
Outside of the office, Danny enjoys mountain biking, cross-country skiing, spending time outside with family, and supporting his wife Kristen train for and run marathons. His favorite books are Micromotives and Macrobehavior by economist Thomas C. Schelling and Your Inner Fish: A Journey into the 3.5-Billion-Year History of the Human Body by biologist Neil Shubin.
